Melasma presents itself as solid patchy brown, tan or blue-grey facial skin discolouration. It typically appears on the forehead, upper cheeks, upper lip and chin of women between the ages of 20 and 50 and is usually mirrored on either side of the face.
Although melasma is a chronic skin disorder with periodic ups and downs, it can be improved. Just as melasma develops slowly, improvement also tends to be slow. The gradual disappearance of dark spots is dependent on the right treatment combination for your skin type.
HOME CARE IS ESSENTIAL AND COMMITMENT TO SUNBLOCK IS VITAL.
